COVID-19 Safety in Training
MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER
As guidance and regulations for businesses continue to evolve during this pandemic, we are working diligently to ensure that our UKM members can train safely. We continue moving forward knowing that we are taking many precautions to ensure the safety of our members and their families as well as the broader community. We will continue to be responsive to public health guidance and policy which may include adjusting our training methodology, class times, degree of contact, and more as needed to maintain everyone's safety. Respectfully, we ask for your patience and understanding as we make changes as this is a very fluid situation and things can change quickly, as we've seen.
As a local business, we appreciate our members adhering to our safety guidelines so that we can remain open and offer the highest level of training.
We already have had in place a daily cleaning schedule that includes a sanitizing and disinfecting our facility daily. We encourage our members to also do their part to keep themselves and others safe including vaccination, regular testing, and mask use. If you are unsure how to schedule a vaccination or test, please see the links here.

COVID-19 Safety Requirements
Updated January 21, 2022
There are reasonable and sensible steps we all can take to protect ourselves and others which includes vaccination, regular testing, and the use of masks. This is essential to slow the spread of any virus. We encourage our members to adhere to public health guidance including vaccination if possible. When participating in our martial arts instruction you acknowledge you are responsible for safeguarding yourself and the others in the gym and that there is inherent risk with training in-person.
Please review our COVID-19 Safety Requirements and Guidelines. Adhering to these rules helps to keep our members safe to the best of our ability and allows us to continue to fully operate and offer our programs to the community. We appreciate you doing your part and respecting these rules so that we can remain open.
-
Masks are not required for members and visitors while in our facility however, we encourage their use especially when entering/exiting the facility, when not actively training and when observing a class.
-
All personal and UKM equipment used must be disinfected after each class by students.
-
All members are strongly encouraged to use the digital no-touch thermometer and use hand sanitizer upon entry of the gym.
-
Do not come to class if you or anyone in your family or household has been sick or has had any potential symptoms.
-
If you or anyone in your family or household has been in contact with anyone that has since been diagnosed with COVID-19, please adhere to CDC guidance which differs based on vaccination status. We encourage mask use while you are monitoring for symptoms.
-
All instructors and students must follow basic hygiene guidelines prior to coming to each class, including washing your hands, wearing clean clothes to train in, and using hand sanitizer prior to entering class.
We can not perfectly monitor social distancing during martial arts training. Student participation in class means you are accepting the risk of potential proximity to other students, staff, and parents in the studio.
